Career Camps

CAREERS currently partners to offer three career camps in the trades, industrial technologies and health. 

Health Sciences Career Camp

Length: 4 days
Dates: August 13-16, 2012
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Opportunity: Experience many different health sciences programs, tour facilities and meet and learn from a variety of health care professionals. You can expect to learn about fields from diagnostic testing to therapeutic massage to disability management.

This camp is held in partnership with Alberta Health Services, NorQuest College, Grant Macewan University, University of Alberta and Covenant Health.

Power Engineering Camp 

Length: 5 days
Dates: July 9-13, 2012
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Opportunity: Students currently enrolled in post-secondary power engineering theory courses can attend this overnight camp for hands-on classes during the day and fun activities in the evenings. Students earn two high school credits for attending. 

Trades and Technology Camp

Length: 2 days
Dates: May 3-4, 2012
Location: Fairview, Alberta
Opportunity: Explore trades and technology training opportunities at Grande Prairie Regional College. With 52 apprenticeable trades in Alberta, there's a great deal to learn about pursuing a career in the trades.

Registrations are due on or before April 20, 2012 for this year's camp.
