How do I make a donation to CAREERS ?

All you have to do is fill out and return our investor pledge form!

What happens after I return the pledge form?

CAREERS will contact you to confirm your information and arrange for payment terms and receipt issuance.

Can I make a one-time donation?

Yes. CAREERS accepts one-time contributions as well as term pledges.

Will CAREERS issue a charitable receipt for my donation?

Yes. CAREERS is a registered charitable organization, and we will issue a charitable tax receipt within 30 days of receiving your pledge payment. Receipts will be issued annually for term contributions.

How much of my donation goes to administration?

About 90% of our revenue goes directly to deliver programs to over 280 communities and connect with thousands of employers and students.

How are investors recognized for their contributions?

We have created an investor recognition program to maximize return on investment for your contribution, which includes recognizing donors on our website, in our annual report, and at special events. Levels of investment are determined based on total contributions over the term of your pledge.

How do I sponsor an event? 

First, take a look at our upcoming events available for sponsorship. Once you know which event you want to sponsor, all you have to do is fill out and return the sponsor pledge form to CAREERS. Each event has different sponsorship opportunities and a different sponsor pledge form - make sure you fill out the form for your desired event.

What happens after I return the sponsor pledge form?

A CAREERS representative will contact you to confirm your sponsorship, discuss your sponsorship benefits, collect payment and issue your receipt.

Do I get a charitable receipt for sponsorship?

No, Canada Revenue Agency rules do not allow a charitable receipt to be issued for sponsorship. You will receive a regular receipt.

How often do I submit a sponsor pledge form? 

You must submit a new sponsor pledge form for each event you wish to sponsor each year of the event. For example, if you wish to sponsor the golf tournament in 2012 and 2013, you must submit a sponsor pledge form each year. 

Some sponsorship levels may include first right of refusal for the following year. You must still complete a sponsor pledge form if you decide to sponsor again.

How else can I support CAREERS?

There are several ways to support CAREERS:

  • employ one of our students;
  • sit on an Advisory Council;
  • become an industry partner;
  • volunteer your time; or
  • make an in-kind donation of supplies, services or staff (secondment).
