How Do I Apply?

If you are interested in any of CAREERS’ Programs listed in this section, talk to the Work Experience Coordinator at your high school or Contact Us.

All of the programs we offer are competitive, so it is important that you meet all of the qualifications when applying for a program.

Here are some tips to help you apply for CAREERS’ programs.

1. Stay in school – it may sound cheesy, but in order to gain full-time employment in any of the paths that you explore through CAREERS, you will need a high school diploma.

2. Enroll in the high school courses that support your career goals. For example, entrance requirements for post secondary training in most health sciences occupations includes a senior level science such as Biology 30, Physics 30, or Chemistry 30; many trades training courses require Math 30 Pure or Math 30 Applied.

3. Research the fields that interest you.

4. Create a resume, covering letter and portfolio that shows off your accomplishments, interests and best qualities.

5. Ensure that you fill out the correct application form for the program you’re applying for. If you’re unsure, ask your Work Experience Coordinator or Contact Us.
