CAREERS: The Next Generation Foundation was incorporated in 1997 to help Alberta develop the skilled workforce so necessary to ensure our communities remain strong and vibrant. CAREERS exists because industry and government recognized the importance of our work to the future. With a focus on identifying sectors with serious shortages of skilled people, industry support and direction was secured to develop and deliver model programs which make learning about these sectors engaging, informative, and relevant.
Our pathways have expanded to include Tradesperson, Production Field Operator, Health Services careers, Forester, and Roadbuilder. As a result, students have an increasingly diverse range of careers they can explore and they are entering the post-secondary world and the workforce poised and motivated for accomplishment.
